Blue Calcite is a beautiful crystal in an icy, frosty blue colour and translucent with a vitreous lustre. 

Blue Calcite forms from the process of calcium bicarbonate saturation in hydrothermal veins and sedimentary rock. Eroded rocks deposit calcium ions and react with carbonate ions to create Calcite. The presence of copper are responsible for the Blue colour.
