Cerussite is a lead carbonate mineral that forms when carbonated water reacts with the mineral Galena. The Cerussite on this piece are the clear gem pieces that often have V-shaped twinned formations.
Bartye is a common sulfate mineral also known as heavy spar and occurs as radiating crystal formations. The Bartye on this piece are the white chalky parts and some peach inclusions. The presence of Bartye causes some of the Cerussite gems to be yellow in colour.
Galena is the natural mineral form of lead and has a gorgeous luster. It's a very important mineral for industrial developments. You can spot the Galena on this piece by looking for the metallic inclusions.
