It is formed from copper carbonate hydroxide, giving it the Azure blue colour.

This particular piece is combined with Malachite, which is formed from copper ore and gives this mineral more value.

The Malachite is grass green in colour and has a bubbly texture. The two minerals combined can be known as Azurmalachite or Bluebird.
