Moldavite is an interesting glass specimen that is mostly transparent with a matte-like texture and an acid yellow-green colour. 

 

Moldavite is a strange crystal, specifically tektite; which is glass formed from a meteorite from outer space coming into contact with Earth and transforming rock or silica sand into Moldavite. 

 

This meteorite collided with Earth 17 million years ago and is only found on the Czech Republic, with some material discovered in Germany prior.

Due to it's extremely limited quantity and strange origins, this material is very expensive and hard to source.
